For almost fifty years, Dr. Vallen Prest has served in Christian ministry, first as a tent maker and then as a full-time minister. He has served as a worship pastor, associate pastor, campus pastor, and senior pastor in churches throughout the Midwest, with attendance ranging from 50 to 3,000. He was an instructor at Grace College and  Detroit Bible Institute.

Having trained at several evangelical schools, he completed his education with a doctorate in theology, specializing in worship and spiritual formation, from the Institute of Worship Studies. The various areas of ministry in which he was involved led him to found Ancient Future Ministries in 2012. This ministry's vision is to Love, Reach, and Teach the world with the Kingdom message of the Gospel. AFM began a new ministry, Refugee Bible, in 2014. We have provided over 35,000 Bibles to those in need of the Word of God in Africa, Europe, India, Asia, and Latin America.

 

Additionally, Val is an international speaker and guest lecturer at churches and schools in India, Sicily, Sardinia, the Caribbean, and the Philippines. His first book, The Theology of Worship: The Heart of the Matter, is being edited and translated for publication in India in the fall of 2025.

Today, he describes himself as a Transformational Architect who views his ministry as helping transform people into Christ's image. His vision is to mentor pastors, staff, missionaries, and believers. He teaches several small groups and a small house church. Additionally, he travels overseas to train national pastors, teach at Bible conferences, and minister to refugees.
